Croeso i Newton Primary
A message from the Head Teacher...
Welcome to our wonderful school!
Newton Primary School has been at the heart of the community since 1860 when it opened as a small, village school. Although times have changed, the school remains a community focused, family friendly school in which everyone works together. We encourage our pupils to aim high and be the best they can be in all things: learning, confidence, sport, arts, kindness and curiosity to name but a few areas.
I am incredibly proud of our pupils, our staff, our Governors and our parents who make this school the fabulous, inspirational place it is to be a part of.
If you'd like to find out more, please come and visit us; we look forward to meeting you.
Miss. H Rees (Head Teacher)
Let's Work Together to be the Best That We Can Be!
Dewch I Weithio Gyda’n Gilydd I Wneud Ein Gorau Glas!
At Newton, we believe in the concept of lifelong learning for all and the notion that learning should be a rewarding and enjoyable experience for everyone, pupil and staff alike; it should be challenging, but fun. We believe in equality of opportunity, working together to overcome any barriers to learning and equipping pupils with the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to make informed choices.
We have high expectations of ourselves and our pupils and we believe that everyone can achieve and take pride in their and their peers’ achievement, whilst also recognising that healthy competition may raise levels of attainment, and achievement too.
In order to achieve our vision, we promote effective links between home, school and the community. We believe in the importance of supporting and challenging each other to promote the values of tolerance, empathy, enterprise, independence, conscientiousness, creativity, ambition, cooperation, resilience and an eagerness to learn.
This will enable our pupils, our staff and all stakeholders to aspire to be the best that we can be, leading to the highest outcomes for all.
If we are successful, we will have pupils with high levels of attainment, pupils who make excellent progress and pupils confident in taking their place positively in an ever changing society.
